This year I stayed up, yes past the witching hour, to hunt like oh so many other people for that special bargain. If you don't recall, and well to be frank I don't either about telling you, that I drove on Thanksgiving day in 2007 to Palm Springs, CA just to go black friday shopping with friends. The result of said quest was of course this.
So this year, we left the city to head down to Milpitas around 11pm. If the name "Great Mall " gave any indication of what to expect, it must have been speaking of the sheer mass of people we were about to meet. People came in droves, all with the very same intention and most likely the same game plan we had: finding the best deal.
So without further ado, top 3 items from Black Friday:
3. Fred Perry Argyle Sweater
Strolling through the racks, I manage to find this cute argyle sweater! it's hard to actually find one that doesn't manage to look too kitschy. A lot of the ones I've seen have seem too much, but this one seems just right. I liked how the v-neck cuts the pattern as well.
Neiman Marcus : Orig. $145, Purchase Price: $39.37
2. Old Navy Cashmere Sweater
I've had my eye on this sweater for a while. For Black Friday, the door buster deal at Old Navy was 50% off knocking this sweater down to 29.75 (Orig. $59.50) While I hunted the jungle of Old Navy, I realized that at 5am ( approximately the time I made it to the store) this one became extinct. How did I get my hand on one of these? By going to three different Old Navy's and hunting it down. Mission accomplished!
OldNavy.com: Orig. $59.50, Purchase price: $25.76
1. Juicy Couture Fur Hoodie

I have to admit. I didn't really get this on Black Friday. Well I mean, technically I didn't buy this on Black Friday ( but it arrived in my office on BF) so it counts in my head. After literally wanting this for three seasons, I took the plunge and got this. Happy Black Friday to me! Ok, the one unfortunate thing about this is the idiot who shipped this from Costa Mesa Barneys left the alarm sensor on it. So, I guess I need to go to Barneys and have it removed. Boo.
Nordstrom.com: Orig. $675, Purchase Price: $409
