D.I.Y. magic

| |

So i've been inspired by a new friend from Florida to start blogging again. it's been quite a while. 1+ yr a while for that matter.

I've really been on a furniture kick. Think Carrie Bradshaw in SATC 2 said it best- “I’ve been cheating on fashion with furniture.” I've felt that way for a while, accumulating pieces here and there, but not to the $$$ extent that Carrie does.

A couple of weekends ago I got bored with an old piece of furniture I've had for a couple years and thought I would spruce it up.

It starts off, really simple. Brown wood, old hardware.

Inspired by some restored Kittinger's mandarin type night stands I saw in Monument, I thought I would try out the same color.

Then I decided to paint the drawers white and add some new hardware

And the finished product?

I thought it turned out pretty darn good for a couple cans of spray paint and some hardware.

What you need for this DIY:

Two cans of Enamel Valspar Mediterranean Blue
One can of Enamel Valspar White
Seven Liberty Antique Brass 1-1/2 In. Weave Pattern Round Knob
14 washers
