changing the world, one plant at a time..

| |

there are two sides to the debate, right? one that cares to sweep the issue of global warming under the carpet, and continue burning fossil fuels and slowly warming our temperature up. the other side is the exact opposite needing dire action to change our future. but with all my moderate views, (although sometimes i like to think i'm a hard-core liberal; hmm what does that mean? does that mean i don't shave or wear deodorant?) i say why not take the middle ground and do some little things to change the world.

i mean isn't it really about the little things that we do and change that are going to change our future. the whole is greater than the sum of its parts? use two square of toilet paper instead of three. recycle? buy eco-friendly designer goods. (anyway isn't the belief that designer goods are eco-friendly because they aren't as mass made as other products?). buy organic foods free of pesticide?

well a company out there, CARGO is doing their part to protect the planet by building a virtual garden. that's what i like about this new site. "For every virtual flower planted on this site, CARGO will make a donation to Conservation International, an organization whose mission is to conserve the Earth's living heritage, our global biodiversity, and to demonstrate that human societies are able to live harmoniously with nature." help them create a virtual forest and help them save the earth, one plant at a time. plant love!
