excessively cold, or just plain excessive?

in preparation for my japan trip, i thought it would be nice to get a down vest. it's not quite committed to the whole winter thing, would keep me warm, and ultimately i would avoid looking like a marshmallow (i.e. the full sized version with sleeves). in this case i picked up the moncler tibet, which by the way i've already worn and i don't think it's going to keep me very warm. what the fuck?
