Re-upholstered West Elm headboard

| |

Earlier this year, I purchased this cute little West Elm headboard:

I got bored about two months ago and decided to switch it up a bit. After checking a bunch of fabric stores in SF, I found this gorgeous fabric at Britex:

The texture is a amazing and the color is a taupe/gray with purple. When I got the original estimate, it called for 2.5 yds of fabric. When I took it in, it turns out I needed more at around 4 yards. Small mistake, but nothing that can't be repaired or hidden.

Today, I got a chance to take a sneak peek at the almost finished product! I went in today to see if it needed the original buttons it came with. As it turns out, the fabric stands alone on this headboard and honestly the buttons were lost in the pattern so I opted to leave the buttons off from the original design.

I'm excited for me to finally get this home as it's been about 1 month away.

Things you need for this project:

4 yards of Fabric at Britex @ $59.99/yd
