ridiculous obsessions - patchwork prada backpack

as i was flipping through my Barney's mailer (since it's my favorite department store), i'm normally intrigued by the number of obsessions that i could pull from their catalogs. i have to be honest, Barney's is one of the only catalogs i'll keep and re-read to check out products. (i don't even keep my own company's catalogs). i decided to start ridiculous obsessions- things you know are ridiculous to obsess over, but still find yourself intrigued by. ( and no it's not OCD, like some of my friends think i have).

since i was a senior in college, i became obsessed with Prada. blame it on the fact i lived in Japan and it was the major trend of the time. all the little girls had those black Prada backpacks and well that shiny triangle was so enchanting. i wanted one so badly. nearly one decade and four Prada bags later, my obsession comes 360 degrees with page 26 of my catalog.

this Prada nylon backpack brings back fond memories with a slight update of the brand you use to know. a mix of satin with nylon makes a patchwork bag that --get this, is about $3480! now you know if you've owned a Prada bag the nylon is pretty durable but i can't see myself paying almost $4k for a backpack i'd hardly ever use. ridiculous obsession.
